The current issue of fuel price hike and the consequent industrial
action by the Nigeria Labour congress and affiliates which include the
Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and its polytechnic
counterpart (ASUP) has left academic activities grounded in most of our
tertiary institutions.
As expected in situations like this, some students are not happy with
the development while for others, it's a way of temporarily breaking
away from the heat of academic work. You can call the latter a bunch of
lazy students. That may be right or wrong depending on the motivation
behind it.
Anyway, we learnt that some schools have refused to join in the strike action. Is your school among?
We want to know what the situation is like in your school and what is your take on this current situation.
